In order to promote a more sustainable agriculture industry, various state and federal agencies offer funding for farm energy upgrades.


Colorado Energy Office
The Agricultural Energy Efficiency (AGEE) Program provides free farm energy audits and helps find funds to implement projects.


Colorado Department of Agriculture
The Advancing Colorado’s Renewable Energy & Energy Efficiency (ACRE3) Program is used to support small hydropower, renewable thermal, solar PV, and other farm energy projects.


USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service
The Environmental Quality Incentives Program (EQIP) provides significant cost share for farm energy audits, efficiency, small hydropower, and solar water pumping projects.


USDA Rural Development
The Rural Energy for America Program (REAP) provides 25% cost share for farm energy efficiency and renewable energy projects.
